Cosmetic Acupuncture & Microneedling
Get Healthy Skin From the Inside Out
At Hawthorne Acupuncture, we view skin health not just as an external state of being, but as a reflection of an individual’s overall wellness. Our qualified and licensed acupuncturists are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their desired aesthetic results, while simultaneously targeting any underlying imbalances that may be causing specific cosmetic concerns. By employing a combination of microneedling, acupuncture, and herbal medicine, we can provide long-lasting treatments aimed at restoring the natural balance necessary for glowing and healthy skin.
What is Cosmetic Acupuncture?
For centuries, traditional Chinese medicine has been known for its ability to treat health issues and reduce the visible signs of aging. Today, cosmetic acupuncture is a popular natural alternative that may help minimize wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin without invasive procedures like Botox – offering you an elegantly effective way to defy time!
Cosmetic acupuncture offers an effective, natural-looking alternative to products like Botox. By inserting very fine needles into key points of the face and body, while adding supportive therapies such as cupping, gua sha and infrared light therapy, we can stimulate collagen and elastin production for improved skin tone and elasticity while encouraging healthy blood circulation which helps flush away toxins beneath the surface – all with minimal risk compared to conventional alternatives!
Cosmetic Acupuncture Can Correct Other Health Issues:
Cosmetic has some of the same benefits as microneedling with 3 major additional benefits
- Relaxes jaw tension/tmj symptoms
- Improves facial muscle tone
- Improves headaches and migraines due to muscle tension
- Improves the overall health of your body
If you’re looking to give your complexion a much-needed boost and reduce signs of aging, incorporating cosmetic acupuncture into your routine might be just the ticket. Its ability to address underlying imbalances in one’s body can result in smoother skin with fewer wrinkles, brighter tone, and even an improved lifestyle for many individuals.
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a ground-breaking treatment that can help repair and restore damaged skin. It works by creating tiny punctures on the top layer of skin with small needles, which trigger the body’s natural healing response. This response encourages increased collagen and elastin production – proteins our bodies need for healthy-looking skin. The result is a refreshed complexion with long-lasting benefits! See what Yale Medicine and the Cleveland Clinic has to say about this groundbreaking treatment.
The microneedling process is relatively quick, taking up to an hour depending on the size of the area being treated. It may cause slight discomfort during the procedure, but numbing creams can be used to help keep you more comfortable. After treatment, some redness may occur for a few days as your skin recovers from the micro-punctures. However, this typically subsides within 48 hours and you can resume normal activities soon afterwards. Allure Magazine loves this treatment, and wrote an article about the wide variety of microneedling treatments on the market right now.
One of the main advantages of microneedling is its ability to target multiple concerns in one session. From reducing wrinkles and fine lines to improving acne scars and stretch marks, this innovative procedure can help improve overall skin texture and tone with just one session! It also has long lasting effects because it stimulates natural collagen production over time – something other treatments cannot achieve.
Benefits of microneedling:
- Reduces the size of pores
- Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles
- Reduction in the visibility of acne scars
- Improve elasticity and skin texture
- Improves the effects of topical serums
- Less side effects than laser
- Reversal of hair loss
- Combat sun damage to the skin
We Take Our Treatments Further.
Combining Microneedling and Cosmetic Acupuncture.
Cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling are two effective treatments that can provide improved skin elasticity, texture, and tone. While these treatments do have many benefits individually, combining them can bring even more positive results.
When these two treatments are combined they work together to target multiple layers of the skin simultaneously. With cosmetic acupuncture needles are placed in muscle tissue and along blood/nerve pathways in order to balance out blood flow to the face and revitalize stagnant areas of the face and body. These needles allow for increased product absorption during microneedling sessions, resulting in better product penetration and improved effectiveness of skincare products used afterwards. At the same time microneedling increases blood flow within cells promoting oxygenation while stimulating collagen production for a healthier looking complexion.
Combining both cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling is an extremely safe procedure as it eliminates any potential side effects that could result from individual treatments alone such as redness or bruising due to hyperactivity or overstimulation on certain areas of the face or body. Furthermore, we schedule appointments with little to no downtime after sessions making these ideal treatments for busy people who want quick results without having to put their life on hold for recovery time!
Through combining cosmetic acupuncture with microneedling individuals can expect softer, firmer looking skin with less blemishes, age spots, scarring or wrinkles as well as improved texture and tone overall! This powerful combination gives individuals access to a wide range of therapeutic benefits that address various signs of aging quickly and effectively than ever before!
Why We Prefer This To Botox
Botox, the popular cosmetic treatment used to reduce wrinkles and create a more youthful appearance, has seen a sharp rise in popularity due to its perceived safety and efficacy. However, while Botox is generally considered safe for short-term use, there are some potential risks associated with long-term use that should be taken into consideration before getting the treatment.
One of the most common risks associated with long-term Botox use is the development of an immunity to the effects. As your body becomes more familiar with the chemicals used in Botox treatments, it may become less effective over time. Eventually, even repeat treatments may not be able to produce desired results. Additionally, as you continue to use Botox over time, you may find that wrinkles start to reappear faster after each treatment because your body is no longer responding as effectively.
Another potential risk of long-term Botox use is nerve damage caused by repeated injections into the same areas over time. Overuse of Botox can cause muscles in those areas to weaken or become paralyzed from lack of movement and exercise—a condition known as myopathy—which can lead to inflammation and pain. In rare instances, this nerve damage can result in severe muscle paralysis or difficulty speaking or eating if it affects facial muscles.
It is also important to note that some people develop allergic reactions when using Botox for extended periods of time. Common symptoms include redness and swelling at injection sites, hives or rashes on other parts of the body and breathing difficulties if injected close to airways. Allergic reactions can require medical attention and should not be taken lightly.
While Botox treatments have many benefits for those looking for a quick wrinkle fix solution, it’s important to remain aware of potential risks involved with long term usage before making any decisions about going forward with treatment options.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I decide what service is right for me?
We always recommend scheduling a consultation where we go over your goals with treatment. In many instances we create a plan that includes both microneedling and cosmetic acupuncture, and will work with you to come up with the most effective treatment plan for your needs.
What areas of the body can be treated?
